We like this idea of lists! We were up until 5AM, reading our blog. We cried, we marveled at the Poems, we embraced all of the new friends we have made and began to see a pattern in our posts. NEGATIVITY! So today, we are going to post a list of accomplishments in our lives that help us feel better about our life. These are in no particular order, as we have no particular order....*smile....

"The truth about our childhood is stored up in our body and although we repress it, we can never alter it. Our intellect can be deceived, our feelings manipulated. our perceptions confused and our body tricked with medication. But someday the body will present its bill, for it is as incorruptible as a child who, still whole in spirit, will accept no compromises or excuses, and it will not stop tormenting us until we stop evading the truth".

Oh my goodness dear one, what accomplishments! Wow! Well done!! I see you like music. I play guitar, self taught. Do you still play the clarinet? Thank you for sharing some of your accomplishments......I know it was a bit hard to, but glad that you did !
Blessings!!!!
Hello, "Us"! I love "Us"! that is an impressive list...I had forgotten you are a musician. But you are so many other things also (not a joke, OK?).
That "crash" First Response stuff is "Heavy Duty" shit, folks!
My paramedic-Firefighter daughter has been First Responder on thousands of highway, and in-home crises--over a 20 year period.
Thanks you all for blogging again, I'd sure like to have some more names if/when any of the alters are willing to come forward with that. I'd like to know each one, because it is hard to like--or love--who I don't even know the name OF. Yes, I ended with a preposition, does that bother an alter? (It does bother me -grin!)
Peace, and Love,
Steve E
JBR - wish we knew the guitar...but out hands are very small...we are only 4 ft 10 1/2 inches tall...lol..tried to play guitar but could not stretch our fingers.....we love music...no we don't play anymore...but maybe learn guitar!
safe hugs to you
Steve - lol...you are so funny....at the bottom of our blog...names are listed...have not added number 8 as yet...but will.
and yes...plz, plz do not end with preposition...reallllly bothers us....ha
First Response Team - was so gratifying...exhausting, both mentally and physically...work 20 hours, sleep for maybe 4...and just the horror that you see...we had to be debriefed daily....lots of emotions...but so dunno...we felt needed.....really tough training before being accepted...hugs to you Steve....
Wow, it is an impressive list, you have accomplished a lot of things!
I admire your work for the First Response Team!
I am busy with the preparation of my blog but I know for sure that I lack writing skills so I think I will write a little, write a poem and put pictures on it.
Safe hugs,
Barbra
barbra - we see you....ty for your words. ur blog sounds like it be nice...can't wait to read...when you invite us.
safe hugs,
"us"
i definitely don't think you're bragging. i think it's healthy and wonderful to give ourselves hugs and pats on the back. we need lots of those~ and when we only get them from others, that's just that many fewer hugs and pats :)
good for you~
MM - we do not get ANY hugs...none! so we must find comfort in our writing and inside. we know much more happened in our lives...just do not have the memories. safe hugs
i'm so sorry. i know you get lots of hugs on here. but virtual hugs aren't exactly the same as physical ones. important all the same.
but as for physical hugs. it might seem silly, but i have found comfort in giving myself hugs, petting my hair, patting myself on the shoulder, etc. that might sound crazy, but when i'm really sad and crying, or just feeling really down on myself, it has helped me feel better. not all of us have people in our lives to hug us. some of us are alone. some of us live with unaffectionate people. some of us are too afraid and need a big no-touch zone to feel safe within. yet i know physical affection can be healing. especially for those of us who have experienced abuse and violation and for whom "touch" has been unsafe. sometimes a good way to begin experiencing safe affection is from ourselves, it might seem silly to some, but i have found it to be healing :)
